About us
As your partner in industrial production, we think in innovative solutions. Together with you, we make manufacturing processes more efficient and economical. That means production steps such as, for example, battery production in e-mobility, solar wafer production in photovoltaic, or additive manufacturing. Regardless of your industry or sector, be it automotive, renewable energy, aerospace engineering, textiles, packaging, or electronics, you benefit by making use of both our technologies and our core competency in laser material processing. We know your needs and make it our business to fulfill them. Our product portfolio consisting of laser deflection units, control electronics and state-of-the-art software allows you to process a wide variety of materials such as metal, plastic, paper, textiles, and many more, in a way that is more flexible, economical, and precise. Our opto-mechanical deflection units also offer you excellent image processing for better calibration, simple automation, and exact monitoring of your laser processes.
With more than 20 years‘ experience, we are here to support you in our four core applications: laser cutting, laser welding, laser surface processing and laser powder bed fusion or selective laser sintering for additive manufacturing. In each of these areas, we drive digital innovations and combine them with established technologies. We have declared it our goal to share this expertise with you as special machine builders, system manufacturers or OEMs. Let’s build tomorrow’s world together today - RAYLASE provides you with the solutions to take you there.

Products & Services
RAYLASE develops advanced modular components and deflection units for the control of laser beam. Maintaining high product quality standards is a priority at RAYLASE.
2-Axis Deflection Units
The RAYLASE 2-axis deflection units can be used to deflect a laser beam in X and Y directions. This produces a two-dimensional area allowing a laser to be directed at any position. Deflection is performed by two mirrors, each of which is moved by a galvanometer scanner. The deflection unit has a beam input, into which the laser beam is fed, and a beam output, through which a laser beam is emitted from the unit after deflection.
Pre-Focusing Deflection Units
Pre-focusing deflection units are developed due to cost and size limitations on the output lens and the beam aperture limitations with 2-axis deflection units, which limit their ability to produce smaller spot sizes over medium size scanning fields. Pre-focusing deflection units meet customers application requirements for large processing fields with smaller spot sizes and allow the user to change the working distance, field and spot size with the same deflection unit. 3-axis technology also benefits application-on-the-fly with moving targets, while in 3D-applications, the setup enables processing of non-flat parts or uneven surfaces and high power products. These solutions are now available for Nd:YAG, diode, and CO2-lasers.
AXIALSCAN FIBER RD-30
The AXIALSCAN FIBER RD-30 is a highly integrated pre-focusing beam deflection unit for use in industrial production environments. Whether laser welding, cutting or cleaning, thanks to its dust-proof housing and integrated collimation optics, the AXIALSCAN FIBER RD-30 is the ideal deflection unit even under harsh production conditions.
The focus here is all on dynamics and productivity. Thanks to our highly dynamic z-axis with RAYVOLUTION DRIVE technology, the AXIALSCAN FIBER RD-30 can use the full dynamics of its XY scanners without losing the z-position of the focus. This makes the AXIALSCAN FIBER RD-30 ideal for processing very thin materials such as battery foils or bipolar plates for fuel cells. Here, a stable penetration depth and a uniform focus are particularly important in order to avoid damage to the bipolar plate and to obtain a uniform cutting result.
Thanks to its high power compatibility of up to 6kW, the AXIALSCAN FIBER RD-30 is well suited for welding battery housings or cell connectors of prismatic cells. Due to the large processing fields, the AXIALSCAN FIBER RD-30 also enables hairpin welding of electric motors without the need to move the motor or the deflection unit.
HIGH POWER WELDING MODULE
The HIGH POWER WELDING MODULE is a fully integrated f-theta-based welding solution for demanding industrial applications. Thanks to its modular architecture, the system can be precisely adapted to application-specific requirements – mechanically, optically, and in terms of software. The pre-configured collimation, its optional camera and OCT solutions, and the integration into the RAYLASE software platform enable fast setup and stable processes even at high cycle rates.
As a machine manufacturer, plant engineer, or integrator, the HIGH POWER WELDING MODULE enables you to meet a wide range of customer requirements for high laser power and reliable processing. Applications include, for example, welding battery cell covers or tab welding with aluminum and/or copper sheets. The HIGH POWER WELDING MODULE connects steel sheets using remote welding in combination with a robot, and, thanks to its digital deflection units, it ensures high-quality results when welding metals and plastics.
Thus, the HIGH POWER WELDING MODULE offers a robust platform that reliably, reproducibly, and reliably implements laser welding applications with the highest requirements.
MINISCAN III
Your Benefits
The new MINISCAN III offers very stable digital control, which further improves noise and drift values, thereby making the system even more reliable and robust. Both the XY2-100 16 bit and the SL2-100 20 bit protocols can be used with the digital interface. A corresponding cable defines the use of the protocol.
Configurable through and through
Lenses, protective glass, and mirror substrates and coatings are available for many standard laser types, wavelengths, power densities, focal lengths and processing areas. This allows to handle a wide range of tasks with best quality and optimized throughput. We would also be happy to help you put together the perfect configuration for your application.
Typical Applications
Natural applications include, in particular, hatching of surfaces in additive manufacturing with high dynamic performances, ablation and cleaning of surfaces at high speed and challenging marking tasks. Speed and dynamic responses are guaranteed, thanks to digital control and powerful PWM output stages. You also have the option of combining the MINISCAN III with our CAMERA ADAPTER and MACHINE VISION CONTROL components for process monitoring.
RL III-10
Advantages
The new RL-III offers extremely high marking and positioning speeds and excellent value for money. Its low noise, minimal drift, and rugged construction make this system ideal for use in industrial production environments.
Interfaces
The galvanometers are compatible with the XY2-100 standard. Digital control is possible via control cards such as the SP-ICE-1 PCI PRO or SP-ICE 3.
Mirrors and Objectives
The mirrors and objectives, featuring optimized mountings, are suitable for virtually all typical lasers, wavelengths, power densities, focal lengths, and working areas. Customization to meet specific customer requirements is also available.
