The high-speed 2-color pyrometers of the HELIOS H4 series are devices for non-contact infrared temperature measurement and have the option of provide a manipulated variable for a specific setpoint via the integrated PID controller. Their main application is the measurement and control of a power laser in laser applications such as additive manufacturing, LPBF (Laser Powder Bed Fusion), or laser hardening. However, they are also suitable for all applications requiring particularly fast temperature measurement. The spectral ranges of the devices are ideally suited for metal measurements with temperature ranges between 700 and 2300°C
