SJet Piezo Valve Contact and Non-Contact Dispensing

The SJet valve is marco's high-speed piezo dispensing valve for contact and non-contact applications.

It can be equipped with various valve seats to match different media and process requirements. Its precision actuator enables ultra-fast and reliable dispensing with a volume tolerance of less than 1%.

The modular design supports a wide range of fluids, making it ideal for semiconductor processes requiring speed and accuracy.

Whether jetting or needle dispensing, the SJet valve ensures consistent results.

The valve can be supplied directly from a cartridge or combined with a pressure tank system.

The proprietary marco piezo drive delivers exceptional performance with a guaranteed service life of 1,000,000,000 cycles – even in demanding environments. Its high frequency and durability reduce downtime, improve throughput and lower costs.

The SJet valve handles low- to medium-viscosity materials and is ideal for underfill, dam & fill, and conformal coating in PCB or semiconductor assembly.

marco SJet Power Piezo Valve for High-Viscosity Materials

marco‘s SJet Power is a modular high-precision dispensing valve for high-viscosity fluids, pastes and filled materials. It is designed for applications that require high dispensing force, stable process conditions and controlled energy transfer into the medium.

A powerful piezo drive and rigid valve design support clean droplet break-off and repeatable dispensing results. Integrated stroke measurement and stroke control help maintain constant dispensing conditions over the entire service life. Modulated voltage profiles can be adapted to the respective dispensing medium.

Precisely eroded, modular seal seats provide high flexibility, fast cleaning and reduced downtime. The hermetic separation between media feed and valve drive protects the mechanics from contamination. The piezo-based valve drive operates virtually wear-free, reducing operating costs and increasing the service life of the overall system.

The valve supports burst frequencies of up to 3,000 Hz, up to one billion closing cycles, and dot or line dispensing between 15 and 1,200 micrometers, depending on the valve seat and nozzle.

The marco Gantry System Series – Dispensing Cells and Inline Robots

Turnkey Dispensing Systems for Precision Applications

The marco Gantry System Series combines the compact marc0 tabletop robot with the modular marc3 dispensing cell, covering a broad range of precision dispensing tasks—from laboratory and small-series applications to automated inline and cluster production.

Both systems can be configured as turnkey dispensing solutions, combining motion control, dispensing technology, software and process modules from a single source.

The marc0 is designed for compact and flexible production environments. It can be used as a tabletop system, a stand-alone unit or integrated with a conveyor, making it suitable for laboratory use, product development and smaller production batches.

The marc3 extends this concept into a scalable industrial platform. Modular axis lengths, quick-change dispensing heads, single or dual conveyors, cleanroom options and open software interfaces allow the dispensing cell to be configured for the product, process and required level of automation.

Specifications of marc0 Gantry System & marc3 Gantry System

The marc0 offers a working area of 440 × 255 × 140 mm and weighs 65 kg. It uses closed-loop position control and can be configured as a tabletop system, stand-alone unit or with an optional conveyor. Tool load depends on the application.

The marc3 system is configured according to the required working area of the application and starts at approximately 350 kg machine weight. Depending on the system design, it achieves positioning accuracy of up to 3 µm and supports tool loads of up to 13 kg. Available configurations include stand-alone, enclosed, inline and cluster systems, with either a single or dual conveyor.

Tank Systems – 3-liter and 25-liter

marco tank systems condition and supply dispensing materials reliably for industrial dispensing processes. Available in 3-litre and 25-litre versions, they combine degassing, temperature control, agitation and continuous level monitoring in one system.

The compact 3-litre tank is particularly suited for low-viscosity materials, while the 25-litre system is designed for larger material volumes and more demanding material handling. Both systems feature an integrated HMI, can be integrated via I/O and Ethernet interfaces and can be coupled for uninterrupted continuous operation. Versions with or without a suction lance are available.

marco PushMembrane – A Pressure Stabilizer

In precision dispensing, even small pressure fluctuations can cause dispensing errors, especially with sensitive materials or long fluid lines. Common issues like pressure spikes, flow surges or unstable tank pressure often lead to inconsistent results.

The marco PushMembrane solves this by stabilizing the pressure between material supply and dispensing head. A controlled pneumatic-oil reservoir applies consistent force to the fluid via a flexible membrane. When the internal volume decreases, an inlet valve refills the membrane—without interrupting flow. This ensures the dispensing valve always operates under stable pressure, regardless of tank distance or upstream pressure behavior.

The PushMembrane is installed inline between the tank and valve, making it an effective upgrade for improving accuracy and repeatability in any advanced microdispensing setup.

2C MixingHead

The marco 2C Mixing Head is designed for precise and repeatable processing of two-component materials in demanding industrial applications. Each dispensing stroke is generated by a controlled piston movement rather than by pressure, enabling consistent volumes even with changing viscosity or back pressure.

The modular system supports static or dynamic mixing and processes adhesives, sealants, potting compounds and other reactive media with viscosities up to 20,000 mPa·s.

Dot-on-position dispensing allows accurate material placement even while the system is in motion, including on grooves, fine structures and 3D contours. With 24 V trigger inputs, Modbus communication, optional temperature control and adaptable media-contacting components, the 2C Mixing Head can be integrated into new or existing automated production environments.

Combined with marco media supply and gantry systems, it forms a scalable complete dispensing solution.

marco Valve Seats

marco offers more than 200 valve seat variants for contact and non-contact dispensing applications. Manufactured in-house from materials such as steel, copper, tungsten and PEEK, they enable precise adaptation to the dispensing material, process requirements, dispensing pattern and application geometry.

Orifice sizes from Ø 15 μm to Ø 1,200 μm allow accurate control of flow rate and shot size. Available designs include jet flat, jet vulcan, luer lock tip, screw nozzle, spray nozzle and protruding nozzle.

The internal design allows wetted parts to be exchanged quickly, simplifying maintenance and helping to reduce downtime. A wide range of sealing materials, including FFKM, silicone, HNBR, FKM and EPDM, supports reliable operation under different chemical and temperature conditions.
